Catherine’s deep curiosity of travel and cuisine is rooted in her varied upbringing. She was born in Texas but spent her childhood moving state-to-state, leading her to eventually settle in lush Sonoma County where she was first began working in farm-to-table dining establishments. Spoiled by her proximity to fresh local produce and respected winemakers, she began to foster a deep admiration for food, beverage, and hospitality. 

She continued her explorations backpacking through Europe, then later decided to relocate to New York in 2019 where she attended Hunter College for Media Studies. During college she doubled down on her love of the service industry working at a Michelin Starred restaurant where expanded her knowledge of wine and spirits before joining Teuwen.
