BETH COTENOFF, DipWSET
Senior Vice President
Beth didn’t grow up with wine on the dinner table, even though her father owned a liquor store in their New Jersey suburb. She made up for lost time by tasting her way through New York City and around the world, becoming a Certified Wine Specialist, and in 2017, adding the WSET Diploma to her wall. An avid Francophile, Beth studied and later worked in Paris in the hotel industry, and also taught English. Upon her return to the States, she joined a French marketing agency and created PR programs for nearly all of France’s wine and spirits regions as well as luxury food brands such as Richart Chocolat and Authentic Provence.
Beth’s communications experience also includes leading integrated marketing campaigns for Rioja, Rías Baixas Albariño, and Alto Adige Wines, as well as representing Washington State Wines, Napa Valley Vintners, and brands such as Ruffino and Henriot. In between PR gigs, she gained first-hand insights into consumer wine and spirits buying habits during a stint on the sales floor at NYC’s famed Astor Wine & Spirits.
Beth is fluent in French and continuously working on her Spanish to progress beyond tapas vocabulary. A culture hound, when she’s not enjoying food and drink with friends, Beth attends as many live music concerts and dance performances as she can, checks out the latest art exhibit or sits on a warm beach.
