SANDHI LAUNCHES FIRST-EVER, LIMITED-RELEASE WINES BENEFITTING THE WHITE BUFFALO LAND TRUST ON GIVING TUESDAY
November 1, 2022
This Giving Tuesday, November 29th, marks the public release of Sandhi Wines’ limited production and inaugural Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines in partnership with and to benefit the White Buffalo Land Trust [WBLT].
Sandhi launched over a decade ago based on a shared philosophy by Rajat [Raj] Parr, a James Beard award-winning author, and globally celebrated sommelier, and Sashi Moorman, one of the New World’s most compelling winemakers. The White Buffalo Land Trust is a non-profit dedicated to developing systems of regenerative agriculture and land stewardship to address today’s climate, biodiversity, public health, and food security challenges.
In 2021, Sandhi Wines became the sole grape buyers of WBLT’s Jalama Canyon Ranch five-acre vineyard as well as their collaborators in grape growing and production. This union furthers Raj and Sashi’s belief in a holistic vineyard and production practice, the study of regenerative viticulture with findings that can be shared with others, and supports the White Buffalo Land Trust and its initiatives through sales.
Details regarding these inaugural limited release wines follow:
– Two-bottle packs, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay or two bottles of Pinot Noir, priced at $130 (+tax) per pack
– All profits will be donated to the White Buffalo Land Trust
– Wines will be available on the Sandhi website (shop.sandhiwines.com/Wines), starting at 9 AM PT on November 29, 2022
– Sourced exclusively from the Jalama Canyon Ranch vineyards, which is currently in conversion to regenerative organic farming
– The labels (images below) are co-branded with a custom photo of the ranch by California artist Lindsey Ross, using her wet-plate collodion process
